Paula Schwarz is an Investment Manager who received her degree at and from Stanford University based on a scholarship of 500Startups. She is a certified coordinator of EU-grants by the EU-Fundraising Association and holds a degree in Political Sciences from the Freie University of Berlin. Paula has worked in a variety of industries including for Philipp Schindlers Privatfonds (Global Head of Operations at Google) and Human Rights Watch in New York. She moved to China and then to Africa to support the German Foreign Office’s startup programmes in several African and Asian countries.
Paula was selected as one of Forbes 30 under 30 and into the World Economic Forum after building her mobile humanitarian startup incubator called Startupboat in 2016. Startupboat has grown to become a ‘Tinder for impact’ based on algorithms and Artificial Intelligence that help bring together the most efficient cross-regional teams to build humanitarian startups that help in local crises.
