Funding & Founding

Arctic15, June 5-6, Helsinki

Many will mention global impact, financial stability, business success but in a nutshell, it all comes down to helping people. As it often happens in business, help is never one-sided – you help your customers while your investors and business partners help you.

Join the Funding & Founding track and learn how to build valuable relationships with business angels, pre-seed, seed, series A and growth investors, what to expect from diligence and terms sheets, and how to get your company to the next level.

The track will culminate in the TOP15 startups of the Arctic15 Funding Program, where we will celebrate deals together with FIBAN and Nordic Angel Program.

Sïmon Saneback

Founder, Wellstreet

Briefly, I'm an award-winning geek with substantial experience in the online industry in general and the e-commerce domain in particular.
I founded my first startup at 16 years of age and have since started over dozens of different companies. Since the late nineties, being in an entrepreneurial environment and developing successful businesses have been two of my greatest passions. I focus on meaningful entrepreneurship by supporting entrepreneurs to explore and develop sustainable and impactful businesses.
In the last decade, I have held several executive positions and advisory roles in global enterprises. I'm also a frequent speaker at some of Europe's largest e-business conferences.

While living in the Silicon Valley of California, Beckman's doctrine is inspiring and engaging in a great deal of difference between American and Finnish entrepreneurship. She has been a speaker at many major business events in more than 10 countries and has reaped the reputation of being an inspirational idea lover and professional advisor.

At present, Paavo is the CEO of Startup Catapult International, where his work image includes the search for growth companies and various innovative solutions for the development needs of large listed companies. Agreeing with the job, his passion and greatest interest are the changes and solutions brought by digitalization and new technologies to the processes of different industries.

The challenges facing businesses and their responses are the backbone of Beckman's inspiring speeches.

In Paavo, the passion for learning, development and change becomes concrete. As a founder of six companies, she has a lot of experience with success, but she particularly emphasizes the importance of failures on the road to success. His performances include practical examples of success stories, failures, methods of developing knowledge and business, and examples of factors that slow down success.
