Stephan is a passionate telecommunications professional who loves exploring business opportunities that can make a difference and inspire others. Based in Nokia’s HQ in Espoo, Finland, Stephan has recently been appointed as General Manager of the Digital Automation business unit.
In this new role, he puts his experience and skills to good use in executing Nokia’s Rebalancing for Growth strategy by diversifying and expanding customer and market opportunities. Stephan played a major role in establishing Nokia as one of the two founding members of the MulteFire Alliance, which allows LTE to run without being anchored in licensed spectrum.
In his previous role as VP Innovation Steering, he led a global team in developing and accelerating new business models and technologies to differentiate Nokia’s portfolio, both within Nokia and with customers, partners and governments in pursuit of the Programmable World.
Prior roles include business VP Portfolio Strategy for Nokia’s Mobile Broadband business unit, VP of Nokia’s Small Cell business line and various leading roles across marketing and services in Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and Finland.
Stephan has an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
