Teemu Kaltea is the Founder and Chief Value Officer of Value Group, a Helsinki-based startup investment bank that champions startups through fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and successful exits. As an enthusiastic angel investor, Teemu has backed over 20 Finnish startups and brings valuable perspective from his board positions across both startups and public companies.

His expertise has guided numerous founders through the complex journey of startup exits. With a solid track record, Teemu has also helped Finnish startups secure nearly €100 million in funding across dozens of financing rounds where he served as a financial advisor.

Before dedicating his career to the startup ecosystem, Teemu honed his expertise as an investment banker specialized in Nordic technology sector. His impressive client portfolio includes industry giants like Sonera, Nokia, Digia, Telenor, TietoEnator, and SysOpen, advising on merger and acquisition and equity capital market transactions ranging from tens of millions to tens of billions of euros. His 28-year investment banking career offers him unique insights into Nordic tech exits that few can match.

Teemu holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Helsinki School of Economics (now Aalto University School of Business). Passionate about sharing knowledge, Teemu hosts “Rahoituskierros,” a popular podcast that demystifies the intricacies of startup funding for Finnish-speaking founders.
