Scott Sumner is a Technical Project Manager in the AI/ML Portfolio at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). He is currently championing the Gig Eagle talent matching project for the Reserve and National Guard, as well as the Data Center Predictive Maintenance project for the Defense Intelligence Agency. As a DIU embed at USINDOPACOM, he is leading the End-to-End Fires Coordination Modeling and Simulation effort. He is also assisting the Global Partnerships Portfolio with international vendor outreach. Scott has lived and worked in Silicon Valley for the past 25 years, holding VP-level positions at various mobile start-ups.
