Mårten studied engineering physics at the Royal Institute of technology in Stockholm. In 1999 he started his first company creating a sensor to improve the performance of industrial cleaning processes. Two years later he co-founded Tobii, the global leader in eyetracking. In 2015 Tobii went public on Nasdaq Stockholm and in 2021 Tobii Dynavox was spun out to become a separate public company focused on Assistive Technology for Communication.
After 20 years as an entrepreneur, Mårten became a full time investor as the CTO at Industrifonden, the Stockholm-based evergreen VC investor.
Truly enjoying the investor side, he co-founded Node Ventures, a Nordic early-stage VC striving to be the founder’s preferred investor, backed and run by true operators and entrepreneurs.
Mårten was awarded the Polhem Prize in 2015 and is the inventor of close to 200 granted patents.
