Marcin P. Kowalik is General Partner at Balnord, leading DeepTech and dual-use investments across the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. He backs frontier technologies with strategic relevance, including advanced connectivity, satellite intelligence, cybersecurity, and resilient industrial capabilities. A former entrepreneur with two successful exits and former Solo GP at Black Pearls VC, where he achieved an 18.6x “dragon” exit, Marcin brings a practical investor-founder perspective on what it takes for defence-relevant startups to move from prototype to testing, funding, procurement, and real deployment. He is a Kauffman Fellows alumnus, PSIK Board Member, and member of Invest Europe’s Defence Task Force.
