Jussi Hätönen is heading of the EIC unit at the European Investment Bank (EIB), a specialized unit of 20+ people functioning as the investment advisor to the EIC Fund. The EIC Fund is a +3bn venture capital fund launched by the European Commission (EC) to finance early stage technology companies in Europe. He joined the EIB in 2009 and was previously heading the growth capital unit focused primarily on venture debt investments to later stage innovative companies. Other work experience include financial advisory and management consultancy in area of financing start-ups and growth. Jussi holds a doctorate in Economics and BA from Turku School of Economics.
