Herman is co-founder and managing partner of Curiosity, an Amsterdam-based VC firm focused on early stage AI software companies in the Benelux, Nordics and Baltics.

Prior to that, he was the founder of angel syndicate River Venture Partners, managing director of CVC funds KPN Ventures and SanomaVentures, member of the management team at online publisher SanomaDigital, responsible for product development, and strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Herman holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Groningen University and an MBA from INSEAD. He combines a strong interest in technology, innovation, equality and sustainable development with a love for vintage design, live music and slow food.
