The Theme of the Exhibitionn: Arctic Visions

When designing the exhibition concept, we focused on the following:

Our aim was bring together 15 artists whose work reflects northern sensitivity, a forward-looking spirit,
and an interest in exploring the changing world through art.

The exhibition was built around Nordic and Finnish atmospheres – moments where nature, technology,
the individual, and the community meet: sometimes harmoniously, sometimes in tension, often at
fascinating interfaces.

We encouraged artists to mindfully select works from their own body of work, but here are a few
inspirations that were taken to consideration:

• Works where northern nature, landscape, or climate is present directly or indirectly

• Works exploring the relationships between humans, nature, and technology

• Works addressing change, movement, sustainable futures, or new ways of being

• Works highlighting themes of community, individuality, or their interplay

• Or works where your unique artistic perspective on the North and the future shines through

The most important thing was that the works speaks and sparks thought – whether it’s painting,
photography, sculpture, digital art, or other forms of visual art.
